The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has handed out a 2017 Top Safety Pick+ rating to the brand-new 2017 Acura MDX. For the fourth year in a row, the MDX has secured this coveted rating, making it one of the most secure models in the luxury crossover segment.

A collection of driver-assist technologies and active safety features are equipped on the latest MDX, and can be attributed to its success. Among these include Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Road Departure Mitigation, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Departure Warning. The MDX also comes with a rearview camera designed to make it easier for drivers to pull in and out of tight parking spots, as well as antilock brakes, airbags, traction control and stability control.

The MDX wasn’t the only model to be awarded a 2017 Top Safety Pick+ rating this year. The 2017 Acura RDX also received the accolade. Both the ILX and RLX were also lucky enough to earn standard 2017 Top Safety Pick awards.

If you’d like to check out any of these award-winning models in person, head over to Vandergriff Acura in Arlington. We look forward to showing you each of their innovative safety features.
