The truck segment is booming in America, and due to its success, many luxury automakers are finally thinking about adding a pickup to their growing lineups. Acura is one of several brands considering taking the plunge, which means there could be a new addition to the roster in the near future.

Before Acura decides to take a chance on a new model, the company may decide to see how other luxury brands do in the truck segment. If all goes well, a pickup could be on the brand’s agenda. There have already been rumors floating around that Acura would build a potential pickup based off the Honda Ridgeline, but with a luxurious twist. Many suspect the model would also come with the Ridgeline’s famous SH-AWD drivetrain and offer the same first-class performance.

Where a potential Acura pickup would differ from the Ridgeline is the interior. The cabin would likely have an array of premium materials, including leather and signature state-of-the-art amenities designed to enhance the driving experience.

As of now, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for an Acura truck to land on the market, but no official word has yet been released about the possible model. We’ll keep a lookout for future information and keep you updated via our blog.
