This January marked the fifth consecutive year that Acura drivers took part in the IMSA Rolex 24 at Daytona, with the Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian #60 securing a second-place finish.
Co-drivers Tom Blomqvist, Colin Braun, Scott Dixon, and Felix Rosenqvist started from sixth on the grid and drove 39 laps over the full 24 hours. They came within 1.335 seconds of clinching first place.
The #93 Acura ARX-06, piloted by Nick Yelloly, Renger van der Zande, Alex Palou, and Kakunoshin Ohta, was another contender in the race. It got off to an impressive start by leading for 19 laps until a suspension issue in the fifth hour forced a stop. Nevertheless, the Acura MSR and HRC team quickly remedied the problem within an hour, allowing them to recover ground as other competitors faltered. Ultimately, the #93 team finished in 8th place.
Additionally, the Acura Integra Type S was featured as the official safety car, and HRC global president Koji Watanabe had the privilege of waving the green flag as the honorary starter.
