Preparation for the 2026 IMSA season is officially underway, with Acura making a definitive statement at the Daytona International Speedway this past November. The manufacturer's two ARX-06 entrants dominated the preseason testing sessions, leading the field in three of the five scheduled blocks and demonstrating significant pace against the competition.
The testing provided critical data for the refreshed aerodynamic packages and updated Michelin tire compounds, which were equipped on both vehicles. The #93 car proved to be the fastest in the GTP class, thanks to a 1:35.725 lap time set by Nick Yelloly. His co-driver, Renger van der Zande, also led his session, while Colin Braun secured the top position for the #60 Acura MSR vehicle on day two.
It wasn't just about speed. Both Acura teams demonstrated their ability to go the distance, completing hundreds of laps without issue. This gives the drivers and fans plenty of reasons to be excited for the upcoming season.
While you might not get behind the wheel of an ARX-06, you can still enjoy Acura's dedication to quality and performance in every vehicle we offer. Stop by Vandergriff Acura today to see our latest models and take one for a test drive.
