Specs at a Glance

The redesigned 2021 Acura TLX is already highly considered among the top sports sedans in its class. You'll love the new model's sleeker styling, improved performance, and updated features. Let's find out how the base TLX compares to the TLX Advance.

Performance

Like the base TLX, the TLX Advance comes standard with a new turbo VTEC four-cylinder engine. It's rated to churn out an exciting 272 horsepower and 282 lb-ft of torque. A new 10-speed automatic transmission aids the sedan's responsiveness. While front-wheel drive comes standard, Acura's updated Super Handling AWD system is optional throughout the lineup. One of the most significant differences between these trims is the TLX Advance's Adaptive Damper suspension. It allows drivers to adjust the car's ride stiffness at the touch of a button.

Appearance

The Acura TLX's powerful exterior styling causes onlookers to stop and take notice. New Jewel Eye LED headlights, and an updated Diamond Pentagon grille give its front fascia a signature appearance. Even the base TLX features an eye-catching set of 18-inch alloy wheels with high-performance all-season tires. However, larger 19-inch wheels give the TLX Advance an especially muscular stance.

Features

A segment-leading amount of standard equipment makes the base TLX a serious value. Technology lovers will enjoy using its new 10.2-inch HD display, which provides Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone support. Other highlights include heated front seats, a 10-speaker sound system, and a sunroof. Drivers seeking the utmost luxury should consider the range-topping Advance trim. Heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and leather upholstery are just a few of the upgraded amenities. There's also more technology inside the TLX Advance, including a color head-up display and a surround-view camera system.
