Performance

A V6 engine powers the 2022 MDX, pushing out 290 HP and 267 LB-FT of torque. Upgrading to the Type S, you'll get a turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine that delivers 355 HP and 354 LB-FT of peak torque. This high-output powertrain has a towing rating of 5,000 pounds. The RDX offers the same engine for all trim levels, a 2.0L four-cylinder turbo. It has a rating of 272 HP, and it reaches 280 LB-FT in torque.

The MDX and RDX features a 10-speed automatic transmission with the Sequential SportShift function. Both luxury crossover SUVs include Super Handling All-Wheel Drive. Other available advanced mechanical technologies include the Agile Handling Assist and Amplitude Reactive Dampers, with several modes accessible from the Integrated Dynamics System.

Appearance

The 2022 MDX and 2021 RDX features jewel eye LED headlights, with available Chicane, LED headlights for the MDX. Both crossover SUVs have LED-powered fog lights. The RDX taillights feature the all-new Dragon Tail design, and LED taillights are optional. Standard on the RDX is a tailgate spoiler with a Gloss Black finish and five-spoke 20-inch wheels featuring the Shark Gray design. You can also get the available 20-inch wheels with the Phantom Violet Pearl finish.

Features

The 2022 MDX and 2021 RDX includes the all-new True Touchpad Interface technology, allowing multimedia suite access. The 12.3-inch HD Dual-Content Center Display is standard in the MDX model. There are available 12.3-inch HD Precision Cockpit and a 10.5-inch head-up display. The 2021 RDX includes a 10 plus-inch HD Dual-Content Center Display. Both Acura SUVs have the latest AcuraLink services that are optimized for smartphone integration.
