2023 Acura MDX Base vs. 2023 Acura MDX Technology
The 2022 Acura MDX is one of today's highest-rated family vehicles. Not only does this luxury SUV put a serious priority on passenger comfort, but it also offers a great driving experience. Furthermore, several advanced safety features come standard. Let's take a look at how the base MDX compares to the MDX Technology.
Performance
Both of these MDX trims are equipped with a punchy V6 engine, which generates 290 horsepower. A 10-speed automatic transmission helps ensure optimum performance. Although front-wheel drive comes standard, Acura's innovative Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system is optional. An Integrated Dynamics System enables you to select from five unique driving modes.
Appearance
In terms of exterior styling, there's not a dramatic difference between these trims. They both have commanding road presence. Jewel Eye LED headlights and a signature Diamond Pentagon grille give the front fascia a striking look. Meanwhile, Chicane LED taillights illuminate the rear fascia. Dual exhaust finishers further accentuate this SUV's sporty profile. While 19-inch alloy wheels come standard, larger 20-inch alloy wheels enhance the Technology trim's muscular stance.
Features
Even the base MDX is genuinely luxurious. Its standard True Touchpad Interface system features a 7.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster elevates your driving experience. Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, and tri-zone automatic climate control.
More niceties are found on the MDX Technology. While an ELS Studio premium audio system delivers a powerful soundtrack, Milano leather seats give the cabin an especially upscale character. Just a few of the other upgrades include a GPS-linked climate control system, a navigation system with a 3-D view, and ambient LED interior lighting.
