Specs at a Glance

The 2025 Acura MDX is a top contender among today's luxury three-row SUVs. Drivers appreciate its generous seating, engaging performance, and extensive features. When selecting your new MDX, choosing the trim level that meets your needs is important. Here's how the MDX Base compares with the MDX A-Spec Advance Package.

Performance

Both the MDX Base and MDX A-Spec Advance deliver comparable performance. Each is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission ensures responsive acceleration.

While Acura's Super Handling AWD is an optional upgrade on the MDX Base, it comes standard on the MDX A-Spec Advance. This system improves traction and handling and increases the SUV's towing capacity to 5,000 pounds.

Appearance

The MDX Base features a striking design with Jewel Eye LED headlights up front and darkened Chicane LED taillights at the rear, adding a sophisticated touch. The look is complete with standard 19-inch alloy wheels and five vibrant paint colors, including Canyon River Blue Metallic and Lunar Silver Metallic.

The MDX A-Spec Advance takes a sportier approach. It boasts a unique body kit and 20-inch Shark Gray wheels. Black exterior trim and LED fog lights add to its aggressive stance. Exclusive paint options like Performance Red Pearl and Apex Blue Pearl are also available for a more distinctive appearance.

Features

The MDX Base is a strong contender with its list of standard features. The 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Tri-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and wireless phone charging are among the highlights. Additional perks include a panoramic sunroof and a digital Precision Cockpit display.

The MDX A-Spec Advance goes further with added luxury. Ventilated front sport seats enhance comfort in hot weather, while a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system takes your music experience to the next level. Other key upgrades include GPS-linked climate control, a flat-bottom steering wheel, a hands-free power liftgate, and 27-color ambient LED lighting.
