Specs at a Glance

The 2025 Acura ZDX is a luxury all-electric SUV that combines lively performance, a competitive range, and modern technology. Acura sells the ZDX in two trims: A-Spec and Type S. Here's how the two compare.

Performance

The ZDX A-Spec is a lively daily driver with a standard rear-wheel drive electric motor rated at 358 horsepower. It provides smooth, quiet driving, quick off-the-line acceleration, and a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds for added utility. Opting for the A-Spec's dual-motor AWD raises output to a compelling 490 horsepower.

If you want maximum excitement, the ZDX Type S is the choice. Its dual-motor AWD delivers a stout 499 horsepower, and Acura adds performance hardware like Brembo brake calipers and a sport-tuned adaptive air suspension to sharpen handling.

Appearance

The A-Spec's exterior is designed to turn heads. Sleek styling is complemented by an Illuminated Seamless Pentagon Grille and Chicane daytime running lights up front, while 20-inch Berlina Black wheels with a machine finish elevate the SUV's visual presence.

The Type S emphasizes performance visuals with 22-inch wheels and yellow brake calipers. It's also available in the exclusive Double Apex Blue Pearl finish.

Features

Acura outfits the A-Spec with sporty interior touches such as a flat-bottom steering wheel and stainless-steel sport pedals. The trim is well-equipped with premium amenities: an 11.3-inch touchscreen with integrated Google, an 18-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, and AcuraWatch safety features including Automatic Emergency Braking and Blind Zone Steering Assist. Additional perks include a panoramic sunroof, perforated Milano leather seats, and ventilated/heated front seats.

The Type S adds upgraded 16-way power front seats with lumbar support plus exclusive tech like a head-up display and surround-view camera. Its Hands-Free Cruise system is especially useful for long highway drives.
