Acura Warranty

Like other automakers, Acura has warranty coverage for its new vehicles in case something goes wrong. Multiple warranties are included for a new car to cover parts that might break or be defective during the initial period of ownership or leasing. Acura's warranties apply to new vehicles with hybrid or traditional gasoline powertrains. Along with the factory warranties, you may also be able to purchase additional warranty coverage if you have an older Acura.

New Vehicle Limited Warranty

The New Vehicle Limited Warranty comes standard with all new Acuras and applies to vehicles that are owned or leased. Defective parts will be repaired or replaced at no cost, provided they break down under normal conditions. The New Vehicle Limited Warranty applies to vehicles with hybrid or standard powertrains. The warranty begins when you buy or lease your vehicle, and it lasts for four years. The warranty covers only original equipment manufacturer (OEM) components.

Powertrain Limited Warranty

The Powertrain Limited Warranty from Acura starts the same day that the New Vehicle Limited Warranty begins. However, the Powertrain Limited Warranty lasts for a bit longer. It covers your vehicle for a maximum of 70,000 miles or six years from the time of purchase. This warranty is covered on new Acura models that have a rear-wheel drive system or a front-wheel drive system. That includes seals, gaskets, bearings, propeller shafts, and all internal components associated with the engine and transmission.

State and Federal Emissions

State and federal emissions protection plans also cover new Acuras. With these emissions plans, Acura will replace parts and make repairs at no charge if the problem is caused by defective parts or faulty workmanship and occurs during normal use. Parts would be covered in the warranty if Acura originally made them. Acura replacement parts must also be used to ensure the warranty is valid. Emissions warranties are also included in some states, such as California. This warranty lasts for seven years or up to 70,000 miles.

Hybrid Powertrain Warranty

The Hybrid Powertrain Warranty is standard on all Acura vehicles with a hybrid powertrain. This warranty is added to the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. It is also combined with federal and state-specific warranties to ensure complete coverage.

Additional Protection Plans

Acura has additional protection plans for GAP coverage, lease wear, service contracts, and even older vehicles, along with its factory warranties.
