Specs at a Glance
Known for its generous list of standard features and comfortable cabin, the 2020 Acura MDX remains one of the top, three-row luxury crossovers on the market. An entertaining performance makes the MDX an even more rewarding family vehicle. Let’s see how the MDX Technology compares to the MDX Advance.
Performance
In terms of overall performance, there’s no difference between these two MDX trims. They both come equipped with the same capable powertrain. Acura’s i-VTEC V6 engine is tuned to develop an impressive 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission enhances the MDX’s responsive nature. Rated to tow up to 5,000 pounds, the 2020 Acura MDX has no trouble pulling trailers and small boats. Available as an option, Acura’s famed Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system gives you greater confidence in bad weather. This performance-tuned AWD system also improves the crossover’s dry-road handling.
Appearance
Expect the 2020 Acura MDX’s sharp exterior styling to grab your attention. It has a sleek and sporty look that dominates the road. On the front, Acura’s signature Diamond Pentagon grille and Jewel Eye LED headlamps enhance the SUV’s powerful presence. Meanwhile, dual exhaust outlets in the rear add more style. A set of 20-inch alloy wheels come standard on the Technology trim.
A few more appearance upgrades are found on the MDX Advance. Acura equips it with a wider set of wheels and tires, which gives the crossover a more aggressive stance. Body-color lower trim and roof rails are also featured on the MDX Advance.
Features
Many great features come equipped on the MDX Technology. A leather-appointed interior with heated front seats ensures excellent passenger comfort. You’ll also enjoy the touchscreen interface with built-in navigation, which provides Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™ for simple smartphone integration. Meanwhile, a 10-speaker ELS premium audio system allows you to enjoy studio-quality sound.
Stepping up to the MDX Advance brings more goodies. While a 360-degree parking camera gives you better visibility in congested areas, front-seat ventilation provides more relaxation on hot days.
