Specs at a Glance
The 2022 MDX, as Acura accurately describes, is a high-performance SUV with three rows of comfortable seats. The Acura MDX is redesigned for 2022. This year, it has a more distinguished exterior and an even more comfortable and tech-savvy interior. The Acura MDX has a smoother ride with the introduction of a double-wishbone suspension system. It also has wider 20-inch wheels that provide additional traction and grip when needed. All-wheel drive is available on the top trim called the Advance, and it's optional for the base trim, which otherwise comes with front-wheel drive. Whether you choose to get the base MDX or the top Advance trim level, you won't go wrong with your decision for the Acura MDX.
Performance
The 2022 Acura MDX comes standard with front-wheel drive on the base trim. All-wheel drive can be ordered instead. The Acura MDX is powered by a 3.5L engine with six cylinders that produces 290 HP as its maximum power output, and it generates 267 LB-FT of torque. New this year, the 2022 MDX is configured with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Acura is also equipped with paddle shifters for a more engaging driving experience. The MDX and Advance tow up to 3,500 pounds. Five driving modes are included to maximize the car's performance and handling in all conditions, including Normal, Comfort, Snow, Individual, and Sport.
Appearance
A bold and commanding style is a highlight of the 2022 Acura MDX and MDX Advance. Daytime running lights and LED headlights are standard. The MDX also has premium paint colors that give it a rich, deep color no matter which shade you choose. There are seven different options available for your preferred wheel finish, including chrome, alloy, and silver. The MDX and Advance are both equipped with standard 20-inch wheels. A liftgate is included on the MDX, and the MDX Advance gets a hands-free liftgate instead.
Features
The Acura MDX has a maximum cargo storage capacity of 95 cubic feet, with its seats folded flat on the inside. A larger 12.3-inch touchscreen is standard this year. The innovative infotainment system includes Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, and Apple CarPlay. Acura's own ELS Studio 3D technology is also included. A rearview camera is standard for safer driving, and you can choose navigation. The Advance adds 16-way adjustable seats and a head-up display. It also has a 360-degree camera and plush leather upholstery.
