Specs at a Glance
Meet the redesigned 2025 Acura MDX, which not only gets a modern facelift but also debuts an advanced infotainment platform sure to thrill tech enthusiasts. With multiple trims on offer, many drivers will narrow their choice to either the A-Spec or the Type S Advance. Here's how these two compare.
Performance
The MDX A-Spec is powered by a capable 3.5-liter V6 delivering 290 horsepower for smooth, confident acceleration. A refined 10-speed automatic gearbox channels that power, and Acura's Super Handling AWD is standard equipment to ensure dynamic control.
In the MDX Type S Advance, a high-output 3.0-liter turbo V6 raises the stakes with a potent 355 hp. Acura's Active Exhaust Valve provides an invigorating growl, while an adaptive air suspension system marries comfort with precise handling. Enhanced stopping power comes courtesy of larger Brembo front brakes.
Appearance
The MDX A-Spec exudes sportiness on the outside with its 20-inch Shark Gray alloy wheels and bold blacked-out accents. Jewel Eye LED headlights complete the aggressive look. Paint options include Canyon River Blue Metallic, Liquid Carbon Metallic, and Platinum White Pearl.
The MDX Type S Advance ups the visual drama with a unique sport appearance kit, quad exhaust outlets, and 20-inch Berlina Black wheels-styling that matches its spirited performance.
Features
Step into the MDX A-Spec's cabin, and you'll discover a flat-bottomed steering wheel, stainless-steel pedals, and premium comforts like ventilated front seats and GPS-linked climate control. Acura's new infotainment interface features a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Additional highlights include a Bang & Olufsen premium sound system, a panoramic sunroof, and the full AcuraWatch suite of driver-assist features.
The Type S Advance adds a host of luxury enhancements, such as 16-way power front seats with massage, a 10.2-inch head-up display, a surround-view camera system, and quilted Milano leather upholstery.
