Acura Vehicle Service Warning Indicators
Have you ever wondered what those little lights are on your dashboard? We've added 10 signs that will alert you of a problem with your vehicle. These warning lights can help keep you from breaking down and being stranded on the highway. If serviced early enough, these indicators can save you from an expensive repair bill.

Airbag Fault
If this light stays on, there could be a problem with your airbag system. If your car was in an accident, a sensor could still be activated even if the airbag didn't deploy. There could also be a fault with your seat belts, and you might need professional maintenance.

Low Fuel Level Warning Light
This means your car needs fuel. Please re-fuel your vehicle as soon as possible. If the light is flashing, there could be a problem with the fuel gauge.

Oil Pressure Warning Light
This indicates your vehicle is low on oil. Pull off the road as soon as you can, and check your oil level. If the oil is low, you could be leaking oil, and your car needs service immediately. Engine damage can occur when driving with low or no oil.

Service Vehicle Soon
This light means your car is due for maintenance. It could be time for an oil change and tire rotation, or there could be a small problem with the electronics.

TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)
This means one or more of your tires are low on air. Check tire pressure and inflate as needed. Driving can become unsafe, and your tires will not wear properly when driving on underinflated tires.

Slip Indicator
This indicates your tires are slipping, and the Traction Control and Vehicle Stability control are trying to regain traction. If the light stays on, there could be a fault in the system.

Charging System Warning Light
When this light comes on, there could be a problem with the battery or charging circuit. If it appears while driving, stop the car immediately because you could have a broken belt or faulty wires.

Brake System
This light indicates a problem with the ABS. This doesn't mean you will lose your brakes, but you should make an appointment to get your ABS fixed.

Open Door Warning Light
This means your trunk or a door is not fully closed. Please check the trunk and all the doors to ensure they are closed.

Coolant Level Warning
This light indicates your coolant is low. You should stop your vehicle quickly and check your coolant level. Driving with low or no coolant can cause the engine to overheat and lead to an expensive repair bill.
